Both activities have the participants going all out in the wardrobe and makeup department. If your Sim wants to dip their toes into this nerdy, effortful, but still fairly rewarding hobby, here are some outfits to get them started.
1. Mulan Collection by Simple Simmer
Check Out This CC Hwa (or Fa) Mulan — easily one of the best Disney princesses around. And thanks to Simple Simmer’s CAS pack, your Sim can dress up as her. They even included some cool, casual everyday options alongside the Hanfu-inspired dresses.
2. Captain America Outfit by AmiSwift
Check Out This CC Tactical jacket, helmet, shield, and battle-ready combat boots. Crazy that such an iconic outfit can easily be split into four parts and worn by anyone (or any Sim). AmiSwift’s CAS set makes it possible for your Sim to go as the beloved star-spangled superhero for the next Comic Con!
3. Captain Marvel Suit – Get Famous Needed by KikiSimLive
Check Out This CC Here’s another star-spangled superhero option for your comic-loving Sim. Captain Marvel may not wear stars n’ stripes proudly like our good Captain Rogers, but she’s got enough celestial décor on both her outfit iterations to get a solid pass.
4. PowerPuff Girls CC Collection by EnriqueS4
Check Out This CC Cosplaying a cartoon character can be pretty tough — especially since a lot of cartoon-y traits don’t translate well IRL. I’m not saying TS4 Sims are realistic at all, but there’s still a huge difference between Sims and PowerPuff Girls, you know? So this CAS pack by EnriqueS4 is the perfect way to let others know exactly who your Sims are dressing up as. The key identifying elements of Cartoon Networks’ favorite crime-fighting, super-powered trio are all here: the hairstyles, the accessories, and, of course, the color schemes.
5. Katara Outfit & Necklace by MargoSims
Check Out This CC Despite the simplicity of her getup, Katara remains a main protagonist of one of the most beloved shows — Avatar: the Last Airbender. And one of the greatest waterbenders of all time. Ergo, her blue tunic and tribe necklace are pretty iconic.
6. Korra Top & Gloves by simcandescent
Check Out This CC Korra may not be the master waterbender that Katara is. But she’s a pretty solid Avatar in her own right. Simcandescent’s CC set comes with the cool blue combat gloves, too!
7. Jasmine & Aladdin by MissRubyBird
Check Out This CC This one’s a bit complicated but it’s worth it, I promise. The creator compiled a list of CC your Sim can use to pull off a stunning Princess Jasmine (and Aladdin, but I focused on Jasmine) cosplay. You can either download everything they’ve linked so that your Sim matches theirs exactly or you can pick and choose the items. For instance, I just downloaded Jasmine’s outfit, hair, and sandals, but the end result still looked great!
8. Whole New World Set by makesims
Check Out This CC If you much prefer the costume design in the 2019 live-action remake of Aladdin, then you can download makesims’ CC set instead. It contains a Jasmine outfit that’s a little more sparkly and a lot less revealing) than its animated counterpart. Accessories sold separately.
9. Elsa’s Travelling Outfit by MonySims
Check Out This CC Still don’t know if Elsa counts as a Disney Princess or a Disney Queen, but a lot of people love her – and want to dress up as her – so here you go. The Ice Queen’s full travelling ensemble (robe, boots, and leggings!) for the Sims who love to belt out Let it Go or Into the Unknown on a whim.
10. Zack Outfit + Accessories by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC With this neat full-body outfit and Buster Sword accessory set from Natalia-Auditore, your Sims can totally recreate Zack’s Final Stand (of FFVII fame). The crazy hair isn’t included in the set, but the jumpsuit, gloves, and funky? All here! And we even have more Final Fantasy CC if you’re itching to add to your collection.
11. Shinra Soldier Outfit by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Or maybe your Sim would rather go as a nondescript Shinra soldier (still of FFVII fame) than one of the protagonists. That’s cool, too. And totally doable, thanks again to Natalia-Auditore’s crazily accurate meshes.
12. Cloud Striffe & Hardy Daytona by Natalia Auditore
Check Out This CC But if your Sim wants to dress up as FF7’s Mister Main Protagonist Cloud Striffe himself, that’s also totally doable. They might have to gel up their hair a bit to get those iconic spikes but as far as clothing, accessories, and Hardy Daytona is concerned? Natalia-Auditore’s got you covered.
13. Hellboy Set by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC I quote the creator: “a lot of stuff-“ Pretty accurate statement. If your Sim wants to dress up as Hellboy, this set has the outfit and body accessories to achieve it. In fact, there are quite a few versions of the same item! Check out the preview image to get some combo inspirations. They seriously all look cool.
14. Hawkgirl by plazasims
Check Out This CC There’s no mistaking empress Shayera Hol, what with her fiery orange hair and hawk mask. And, you know. The wings. Dress your Sim up as a fierce and furious warrior angel with Plazasims’ Hawkgirl costume! And unlike those toy sets you see in ads, the accessories (aka the mask and wings) are included.
15. Wonder Woman Set by AmiSwift
Check Out This CC If I’m going to give you the winged empress of Thanagar, I might as well throw in Themyscira’s champion and pride, Princess Diana. Thankfully, this outfit is based on the live action adaption, so it’s more “armored gladiator” instead of star-spangled bathing suit. And we even have an entire collection of Wonder Woman CC if you’re looking for extra goodies.
16. Joker 2019 Face Paint & Outfit by Rloca
Check Out This CC Although the movie got mixed reviews, Joaquin Phoenix looked excellent in Arthur Fleck’s clown suit and makeup. After making a life-changing decision, your Sim can now dance down the stairs in full circus regalia, too! Gary Glitter’s Rock and Roll Part 2 as background music optional.
17. True Damage Mini Fan Pack by purpretta
Check Out This CC I don’t play League of Legends, but I do listen to music. And ever since Riot decided they were going to market their characters via sick animated music videos set to original beats, I ended up knowing about Qiyana, Akali, Ekko, Yasuo, and Senna. This pack contains 11 CAS items to help your Sims achieve their specific True Damage looks!
18. Kylo Ren & Rey Star Wars Set by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC If you don’t have The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu pack installed, your Sim can still dress up as new-generation lightsaber-swingers Kylo Ren and Rey. The Kylo Ren set by Natalia-Auditore contains his mask, hooded cloak, tunic, and lightsaber. Rey’s set (which you can download here) contains her full outfit – which comes in a lot of colors, by the way! – and her lightsaber.
19. Dr. Strange CC by plazasims
Check Out This CC In honor of the recent Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness release, here’s a full costume set for Marvel’s own Master of the Mystic Arts. This download contains his flying cloak, strappy boots, and tunic plus pants as a full-body costume.
20. Scarlet Witch by plazasims
Check Out This CC Elizabeth Olsen’s stunning performance as antagonistic Wanda Maximoff in 2022’s Dr. Strange movie has made me fall in love with her character all over again. This costume pack from plazasims contains Scarlet Witch’s outfit from the comic, and her outfit from the television series. Both are only available in blood red (of course).
