Thankfully, The Sims 4 is there to let you live out your wildest tattooed dreams. But you don’t have to go wild with full body or full sleeve tattoos to have a great time designing Sims with tattoos. You just have to look for tatts of a certain variety: ankle tattoos! Oftentimes, small ankle tattoos have all of the designs you could ever want, but in a small and subtle package. Here’s our picks for the best ones you can add into TS4.
1. Ankle Anchor Tattoo
Check Out This CC Our feet are our anchor to the Earth, both literally and metaphorically. So what better motif to stick on your ankle than an anchor? Of course, your sim doesn’t need to have any deep meaning behind this tattoo. They can just pop it on because they like the ocean, boats, or… anchor symbols. After all, they don’t need to worry about it being permanent! This CC comes in one swatch on the left ankle, making it about as easy and simple as ankle tattoos get.
2. Serene Tattoo
Check Out This CC You can get pretty poetic with an anchor tattoo, but this Serene Tattoo blows it out of the water (pun not intended). It’s one of the most intricate designs on this list, picturing a bejeweled hand holding a cute bird. It may or may not mean serenity to your Sim, but it’s a beautiful tattoo choice either way! This CC is located on the left ankle, which you’ll see is a recurring theme with ankle tattoos. But it does come in both black and brown swatches, so you can give it an even softer look.
3. Music Note Tattoos
Check Out This CC Tattoos are a great way to express oneself, and to share one’s passion for a person, activity, or art form. In this case, your Sim will be able to express their love for music. Musically-inclined sims will have a blast wearing this tattoo, and you’ll have a blast coloring and adjusting it to fit wherever you’d like. In the example on the CC’s main page above, the music note is used as an ankle tattoo (along with another cool back tattoo). But your options are really limitless!
4. Wonder Woman Ankle Tattoo
Check Out This CC Wonder Woman is a surefire way to bring back childhood nostalgia for many. But it goes past nostalgia for a select few. She’s cool, she’s strong, and if your Sim really looks up to her, then her symbol can be tattooed on their ankle. This CC comes in 3 designs, all of which are located on the left ankle. They’re all very classic Wonder Woman symbols, and the main differences are the colors and line thicknesses. Note: you can only use this tattoo on female Sims.
5. Anklet Tattoos Set
Check Out This CC Tattoos located on the ankle are cool and all… But what about actual anklet tattoos? Well this CC set has nothing but circlets. Your Sim will be able to wear one of twelve anklet tattoos, many of which are inspired by geometric and Native designs. And even better, they won’t ever have to bother with putting their anklet on and taking it off again. The best thing about getting jewelry tattooed on, though, is the fact that you’ll never be able to lose it!
6. Arrow Tattoo
Check Out This CC “Shot through the heart” or even “shot through the chest” is usually a lot more romantic than “shot through the ankle”, but the Arrow Tattoo sells the look pretty well. Instead of being a small motif on the side of the ankle, this tattoo spirals its way down the back of the calf and ends right at the ankle. It’s a little louder than other ankle tattoos because of that, but it still manages to be quite subtle and elegant. There’s only 1 swatch here – but it can be used for both male and female Sims.
7. Ankle Tattoos (thesimsfanaticmelon)
Check Out This CC Tattoos are a permanent (or at least semi-permanent) design choice in the real world. In The Sims 4, your Sims can change tattoos just as easily as they can change their hairstyles, makeup, and entire outfits: instantaneously. This set of CC ankle tattoos will provide you with enough options to satisfy every creative urge you have. With 19 swatches, it’s also a great choice if you want to just download one CC and be done with it. And it includes everything from peace signs to the playboy bunny.
8. Magical Tattoos
Check Out This CC Magic and branding ink onto your skin are a match made in heaven – or at least that’s what this CC seems to imply. These Magical Tattoos come in the form of celtic knots and pentagrams, although it’s unclear if they’re actually magical or if they’re just references to magical symbology. They look cool, so I think it’s fine either way. In addition to ankles, you can put these tattoos on the nape of the neck. I can’t cite any source for this one, but I’m pretty sure those are two very magical locations.
